Captain Ruin joins Circus Oz as Model Citizen

In exciting news, this year I will be appearing with Circus Oz as part of their new show Model Citizens. We've been hard at work writing this surreal and satirical new piece, which looks at the myths of modern Australia and combines high level acrobatics, sideshow, and fantastic live music. It's been a pleasure working with Director Rob Tannion and the all-new ensemble, and I can't wait to begin performing and touring Model Citizens along the east coast . Details can be found through the Circus Oz website here - TICKETS.

Hope to see you at one of the shows!

The Pleasure Garden - Dec 10th

If you're in Melbourne and looking for a great way to kick off your summer party season, get yourself to this excellent new festival for what's sure to be a stellar saturday rave!

World Tour Part One

So i've been a little lax on the website recently because there has just been too much happening!

After our amazing debut season of Bunker I headed for the Las Vegas Club in Auckland, NZ to perform a brand new act of dark clown/sideshow/striptease, which went down a treat!

Then I continued East to Virada Cultural in Sao Paūlo, Brazil to perform with Melbourne's own anarchic Snuff Puppets at one of South America's largest arts events - that was wild!

Retracing my steps via Melbourne, I've been based in London since June, and have had the pleasure of enjoying time at Strawberry Fair, Cambridge; Brighton Fringe; and Download Metal Festival to name a few.

Mainly though I was preparing for Glastonbury Arts and Music Festival where I was privileged to join the team at the Circus Big Top as their new compere. MCing a major venue at the world's largest festival was a total headspin and the festival went past in a flash, or perhaps a downpour - i've never seen so much mud!

After that The Great Gordo Gamsby and I travelled to Germany for the Cabaret at the End of the World as part of Fusion Festival - an incredible anarchist event put on in an old Soviet Airbase. Great shows and great crew!

And now The Syndicate is preparing for a London season of BUNKER in collaboration with The Bureau of Silly Ideas in Brixton. See the sidebar for more details, or check out the facebook page here ticketing information.

Here's my new favourite photo of my rollerskate-straitjacket escape! See you out there in the world!

The Syndicate's brand new physical theatre show premieres this April in the heart of Brunswick in Metanoia Theatre's Studio room. Directed by Mitch Jones and with a compelling and original sound design by Smaora Squid, you won't want to miss out on this intriguing vision of confinement and madness!
